GEDCOM files are
text files that are created by various Genealogy Software Programs to allow
researchers to exchange information. Personal Ancestry File (PAF), Family
Tree Maker (FTM), and Visual Roots, are an example of the types of software
that are capable of importing and exporting to a GEDCOM file. If you have
a GEDCOM file that you would like to contribute to our list please send

Keith: I am sending a 4 generation GEDCOM of James Brazell, b.
1787 in NC. I believe all of the persons included are dead by now. I am
still hunting information on James.

Keith, My family and I recently went on vacation to Rocky Mount, NC. While
there, I made a brief visit to the James Craig Braswell Library to see
what information they had on the Braswell line. I came across the book
"Lineage of Jacob Thomas Braswell" by Viola Vick Braswell (his second wife).
The book described eleven generations of the Braswells of Nash County,
NC. which ties the family to Robert and Rebecca Bracewell. I have taken
the information from the book and put it into the attached GEDCOM file.
I thought you might want to add it to your home page. I plan to post a
text version of the lineage to the Braswell-List in the near future. We
know that my wife's Braswell ancestory ties into the Braswells of Nash
County. Hopefully, searching the census records during the 1800s will finally
tie us into the descendants of of Robert and Rebecca Bracewell.
